How to Record Android Screen for Free Without Root

Recording your phone screen is kind of thing that most of the people wants to but don’t know how to. I was also in your situation a few days back when I had to record my phone screen to share with my friend. At that time I had no idea about how could I record my phone’s screen. I did a bit of research and came across a bunch of apps for both Android and iOS which let user record their phone screen. There I realize that most of the phone requires root and Jailbreak for both Android and iOS respectively. I use Android, and I love my phone. I was little sad cause I didn’t want to root my phone. So, I did more research and came across some more apps and the good news was some of them don’t require root. That means you can record Android screen without having to root your device.

I was happy and then came one more sad thing most of those apps were paid, and some have only 5-10 seconds record capabilities. That was really frustrating. I tried almost all the apps and found one which actually works well with the non-rooted device and doesn’t have any record limit. That means you can record your screen as long as possible without having to root or pay anything.

Here I will show you what app I used and how to record with that app.

Till now you probably know that I am talking about an app that allows users like you and me to record their android phone screen for free and doesn’t need root access.

The app I am talking about is Screen Recorder 5+. This app doesn’t need root access for Android device running Android 5.0 and above. However, if you are an old user and having your phone runs on Android 4.4 KitKat, and below then you have to root your device. Unlike any other app, this app is completely free, and you can record screen unlimited. There is no limit on screen recording time.

Recording screen with this app is easy.

The very first step is to download this app from the Google play store.

Now open the app and click on the Camera Icon at the top right side.

Your screen is started recording. Now do whatever you want to record. Once you are done with recording, pull down the notification and click on stop icon.

Your recording will be saved in your storage.

It is as simple as that.

If you want more options, then you can mess with its setting. There are a bunch of setting you can play with. Like the frame rate, video quality, interface and lot more.

Another great feature if this app is its inbuilt video editor. This is a simple but a useful video editor which lets you trim a video for free. You can also make GIF image from any video using that video editor.

This app is definitely a great one for people like me who makes tutorial videos or people who like to help their friends on their phone.
